Bryce Canyon

Danny had a week off from working in the clinic this week so we tried to pack in as much fun as possible.

We took a day trip to Bryce Canyon-- something we've been talking about doing for the last few months. It did not disappoint! Those hoodoos really are off the hook. Worth fighting the million degree heat and millions of bugs. We combined a few hikes-- Sunset point, peek-a-boo, and sunrise to make a 5 mile loop. Not bad. Max was a champ the whole time and our icey powerades were amaz-za-za-zing when we got back to the car.

Danny wore the babe the second half of the hike. He got the short end of the stick since the second half was allll up hill and all switch backs. What a guy.

Ding and Dang Canyons

A couple of days after we got home from Florida we took a quick trip down south near Goblin Valley to hike Ding and Dang Canyons with my brothers. 

It rained a ton the night before so there were a few areas that were flooded that we had to swim and climb through.

We also ended up hiking it the wrong direction (we hiked up when apparently you are supposed to hike down the canyons) and lets just say it was a good thing there were 4 strapping men to hoist me up all of the rocks like a little mountain goat. There were so many moments when I thought there was no way we were going to make it but magically we did and me and the babe survived. 

Return to Zion

We try to make it to Zion National Park as many times per year as possible. We hit it up again the weekend before school started (or possibly the weekend after it started.. my life is one big blur)

Started it off right with little brother getting stuck in the mud on the way to our camping spot. 

Was actually kind of a fun project to all try to figure out how to get our. Family bonding. And that is our little bu in the background.

 We tried to get a permit to hike the narrows from the top down, but it was apparently flash floody while we were there. For the record, I do not condone this hike when there is a chance of flash flooding. Yipes. 

 The narrows water is usually super pretty and clear- but theyd been having lots of flooding going on. So it was like walking through mud paste.

this year was off the hook! 

We had a LP wedding, hiked, boarded, skiid, badminton-ed, read, house boated, jet skiid.. all around good time. 

Best part? Post-dinner family photo shoot in our LP shirts. 

Thank you thank you Masters fam! Lets fast forward to next summer already.
