When we were in Bwindi, we went to a village that had the most beautiful setting! Misty mountains, flowers, green ness everywhere.
After spending the day with the people there, when we were leaving, one of the Batwa mentioned that we were right on the Congo border. He pointed to the mountains and said that at the top of that mountain, was the Congo. And that we shouldn't go hiking anywhere around there because we will get "hijacked."
This was one of my favorite villages. The people were SO friendly and helpful with our research and had interesting stories about living in the forest before they were kicked out by the government. Its also where we met one of our favorite Batwa, Geoffrey.
