Lake Mburo [zebras]

We started a trip last week to visit some of the national parks in Uganda (for research purposes, of course). Our first (technically second-- first was the equator) stop was Lake Mburo National Park. And it did not disappoint:
Stopped @ the equator on our way. We don't normally stand so awkwardly but we both wanted one leg on each hemisphere

This is what it looks like driving around Africa all day (above)

I can't even express what it is like to see a zebra in the wild. Before we got to Lake Mburo, we saw these guys munching on some grass. Pretty sweet.

Zebra's crossing the road. In the cities here, their cross walks are all called "zebra crossings"-- probably bc of the stripes?

They looked awesome running through what I like to call the pride lands

One of a million monkey sitings: (actually right now we are literally staying at a place called the Monkey House where we are attacked by monkeys constantly... really)

the most cows i have ever seen in my life blocking traffic
